Traffic campaign with ANWB and TeamAlert
We are participating in the campaign “On the way to the bike exam” in cooperation with the ANWB and TeamAlert. Schools in the municipality of Maastricht receive a free teaching guide to prepare students for the bicycle exam and prevent traffic accidents. A valuable campaign with a future perspective.
Campaign.
Research shows that children in groups 7 and 8 of primary education are often involved in traffic accidents. This is often due to the use of the mobile phone and/or other gadgets in traffic. That is why the bicycle exam is more important than ever. RoComm Publishers has therefore taken the initiative, a national traffic campaign together with the ANWB and Team Alert to carry out.
Traffic information.
All students in groups 7 and 8 receive traffic information in the classroom. As a result, they will receive a free teaching guide “On the way to the bike exam” to prepare for this school year's cycling exam. The content of the lesson guide has been provided by, among others, the ANWB and TeamAlert. The participating primary schools do not have to do or pay anything for these teaching materials. Indeed, the campaign is funded by companies and institutions in the municipalities of the participating primary schools. For example, we are participating in the campaign in the municipality of Maastricht, together with Stella Maris College Meerssen, Cancer Free Children's Foundation (KiKa) and Jumbo Supermarkets (Meerssen location).
Municipality of Maastricht.
We are pleased to see that many primary schools are participating in the Municipality of Maastricht. There are 24 in total. For example, the teaching guides will be offered at Amby primary school, Anne Frank Maastricht, Downtown, De Geluksvogel Maastricht, De Letterdoes, De Maasköpkes, De Regenboog, De Spiegel Maastricht, De Vlinderboom Maastricht, Dynamiek Maastricht, El Habib, Emile Wesly, Het Mozaïek Maastricht, J.F. Kennedy, Manjefiek, Montessori Primary School Maastricht, Petrus and Paulus Maastricht, Scharn, Aloysius, St. Oda Maastricht, St. Pieter, Suringar School, Wyck and ZIEZO! Maastricht.
Future.
The “Safely to the bike exam” campaign is a great initiative. The conversations in preparation for the campaign were cordial and the lesson guide looks good. We can imagine that many students will benefit from this. It is the first time that we are participating in the initiative and are curious about the impact of the campaign. If it is successful, we will ensure that the “Safe to the bike exam” teaching guide is also offered in the municipality of Maastricht in the future.
